Leadership is referred to the prolific capability of an organization’s management in setting up and attaining different challenges, consider swift and decisive actions, outperforming the competition along with inspiring the other members for performing efficiently. Leadership is considered to be immensely effective and must be focused on as it enables in providing significant direction to a company in which in helps in achieving the framed objective and goals (Kouzes & Posner, 2012). Effective leadership mainly includes the character of an organization and exhibits honesty, trustworthiness, ethics and integrity. The key act of the leaders is to specifically earn the right for being efficiently responsible for other co workers and employees boosting and motivating them in attaining the individual as well as the organizational objectives of the organization success.
Example of Leadership and Analyzing Using Exemplary Leadership Practices and Ten Commitments
The model proposed by Kouzes and Poster of five exemplary leadership practices and ten commitments provides prolific insight about a leader’s effectiveness and the efficiency a leader needs to have in attaining the objectives for the organization, team, communities and individuals. The practices of leadership inventory also referred to as the LPI are considered to be the most used instrument that has helped me in analyzing my personal leadership attributes (Patrick et al. 2011). Most significantly the Kouzes and Posner inventory practices has also enabled in providing necessary boost to stepping up and accepting the challenges to lead. Moreover this specific inventory model has enabled in boosting mu leadership qualities as well as the skills. One such experience when the Kouzes and Posner model has been quite significant in helping me out to handle a situation occurred in my workplace.
During my tenure working with a renowned supermarket store a crisis occurred when a shipment was about to be received by the company. Due to a mistake of the entire shipment many angry consumers came in with various sorts of questions and queries. This specifically led to immense chaos and no one was able to handle the situation and what actually can be done to eradicate the problem. For handling the entire situation I personally stepped up and tried to handle the queries and questions of the angry consumers (Kouzes and Posner, 2010). By the prolific help of my communication skills and some other quality communicators we stepped in the front line for handling the consumers and answering them for mitigating the issue. I personally decided to deal with the consumers and dedicated myself in resolving the issue by answering and handling the queries. Though I was not fully successful, I was able to keep the consumers calm for couple of hours dealing the entire chaotic situation. This prolific experience helped me in attaining confidence and experience as the model proposed by Kouzes and Posner has been quite impactful in assessing the necessary needs of leadership qualities.
Critically evaluating both the exemplary practices and commitments I was able to figure out the issue and deal with the entire situation. Moreover, by the help of five exemplary practices and ten commitments I have been able to enhance my skills as well as the effectiveness of being a leader. Considering the five exemplary practices and ten commitments, the first significant aspect I acquired as a leader was by following “model the way” practice (Kouzes & Posner, 2010). This specific practice helps the leaders in establishing necessary principles for treating and helping the fellow colleagues and employees. This specific practice has helped me in figuring out the necessary principles needed for helping the fellow employees and how the goals and objectives are to be attained. The practice of model the way has provided me with in-depth insights in regarding creating major excellence standards and how examples can be set for others so that they can follow. This specific practice has helped me in setting the interim objectives that can be attained by attaining small wins towards larger goals and objectives. It has also helped me in understanding about how to develop major opportunities for attaining the objectives and success (Hallinger, 2011).
The second exemplary practice, inspiring a shared vision helped in providing with significant insights about how a quality leader can passionately enable an individual in believing that they can actually make a difference. The practice provided me with detailed concept of how a leader can emphasize in sharing the vision for the future by developing an ideal and unique image of a company’s potential in the upcoming days (Hallinger, 2011). By critically evaluating the practice I was able to gain a clear vision regarding the magnetism and persuasion that helps the subordinates for viewing exciting possibilities for the future.
Following the inspiring a shared vision practice, the next practice has been quite intriguing and impactful in providing quality motivation to me. Confronting the process this specific practice enables an individual pursuing the leadership qualities and skills to transform the status quo. This prolific practice has enabled me in seeking for distinctive and unique ways which can be quite advantageous in improvising the organization in an innovative manner. Considering taking risks and experimenting would prolifically involve in mistakes and failures that needs to be accepted mainly for acquiring the learning opportunities (Cummings et al. 2010). This practice has motivated me in stepping up despite facing various failures. This specific willingness helps in being an effective and quality leader.
The fourth exemplary practice enabling others to act has helped me to be guided in a strategic manner. This specific practice have provided key insights regarding the potential of a leader on being proficient enough for fostering in building and collaborating the spirited teams. A leader must evaluate the needs of building and collaborating teams that would mainly involve all the employees and it is essential for a leader to understand the mutual respect that will mainly help in boosting the key efforts to an extraordinary level with the team (Hutchinson & Jackson, 2013). This practice explained that for pursuing the leadership effectiveness and qualities it is essential for the leader and the team to develop an atmosphere of trust and human dignity. If a leader can be effective in assessing the trust and human dignity, it will strengthen the other employees in the team and every member will be feeling capable and powerful.
The final exemplary practice has provided me with the knowledge of understanding the significance of encouragement. This specific practice provided me with in-depth analysis about acquiring any extraordinary things it is essential for a leader to motivate other and work hard. It is quite important for any leader as per this practice that one should always seek in enhancing the potential for recognizing the contributions made by other members of the team (Kouzes & Posner, 2016). It is mainly the role of the leaders to look out for the rewards and recognition for the efforts given by the entire team. Leaders therefore must be the forerunner and must emphasize in encouraging the people for attaining the accomplishments.

The leadership approach is indeed quote complex in nature and it specifically needs immense quality and potential for influencing the behavioral aspects of others (F.Vito et al. 2014). It is thus quite essential for the professionals associated with healthcare like pharmacists, nurses and doctors to interact with all the team members, families of the patients and patients which makes them responsible enough for managing and leading all the necessities with care.

Education and example is the most significant aspect that acquires quality knowledge from the significant situations. While experiencing it is quite evident in learning by understanding the situation along with withdrawing significant analysis (Patrcik et al. 2011). This specific model helps an individual in basically understanding the major need for assessing the goals to be attained. It enables in setting the goal or objective which would motivate the individual as well as the team. Thirdly, the model helps in being specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and timely. Fourthly it also helps in assessing the skill set and qualities that enables others to act. On an overall basis it can be stated that the Kouzes and Posner model helps an individual in attaining the objectives and challenging situations at any cost for acquiring the target and developing the skills set at any specific cost.
