Point –The opening sentence of the paragraph is often the most critical sentence as it states the point you are about to discuss in the paragraph. The first sentence is also known as the topic sentence. Make sure the opening sentence is clear to the readers about the point you wish to make in the paragraph. The first thing of the paragraph and also the main thing of the whole essay is the point you make. 

You should carefully pick the point for the paragraph as it should relate to the topic. If the point is irrelevant to the topic assigned, then the readers will lose the interest in reading further. Once you have decided on the point, then you should examine whether the point is valid to the topic or not. This is the central part of your essay and paragraph of both.

Make sure you choose an exciting point to capture the reader's attention in your essay. 

Evidence –Now that you have made your point in the opening of the paragraph. The next crucial step is to support your point with the evidence and examples. The next one or two sentences should include facts, statistics, examination verdicts, speech marks from a credible authority. Gathering the evidence is not the easy task as it requires a lot of research from the various sources internet, books and contacting concerned persons. 

You should also know that there are different types of pieces of evidence like digital evidence, personal experience, physical evidence, testimonial and much more. The evidence should prove the point you have made in the opening sentences. The evidence in the paragraph can be the most significant achievement in the writing if the reader is convinced with the evidence provided for the point.

However, you should remember that the weak evidence is worse than the no evidence to the point, so it should be strong enough to provide the solid support. 

Explanation – The main thing in the assessment of essays is the explanation of the point. You need to explain the point you have made in the opening of the paragraph. You should explain in details that why you have made this point and how does the evidence support your point. This means interpreting the evidence for the reader to make them understand better. The way the point and the evidence are explained in writing is the way the professor assess the students are writing. The point and evidence will not make a great thing if they are not translated accurately.

The structuring and linking of the paragraphs is the trickiest part of the essay. The beginners may need a lot of drafts and practice to have the perfect linking of the paragraphs. 

The first thing is to think about the structure of the essay and is essential to plan the essay. 

It should be linked to show the development of argument and analysis of the topic. It should be done in such a way that the whole essay relates to the topic, and also each paragraph states the different point yet associated with the subject. The link should not confuse the readers with an opposite point in the next paragraph to the point that is stated in the prior paragraph.

Every part of the PEEL paragraph is significant for the overall essay. Even if the single thing is missed, then the paragraph loses the entire grace. 

Point, evidence, explanation, and link all are the interlinked part of the paragraph. A student is examined through each of these points through the essay so the student should plan at each point of the paragraph. It may seem difficult at a glance but becomes easy once you start writing. All the writers need is the planning before they start writing on the topic – plan, research and work.
