A well written essay should be able to convey the views of the writer without causing confusion in the minds of the reader.  The essay should have a good introduction, body and conclusion of the topic to leave a good impression and shows your ability to write with authority. What is a Conclusion paragraph?

The writing of final or concluding paragraph of an essay or thesis is very important, as it should be convincing.  Effort should be taken to be able to emphasize with ease and summarize the introduction and body paragraphs.

How to write a conclusion paragraph:

The conclusion paragraph should be a cue to show that the essay is ending.

    -- Main idea in the essay

The main idea of the essay should be reiterated in different words to remind and summarize the points. The writer should have a grasp of what he intends to convey. This will be helpful to conclude the essay without having to elaborate on each point. The conclusion can be in about six to eight sentences and should not ramble on without a sense of direction. 

Ruminate on the fact whether the ideas can be connected or linked in different contexts. This aide the reader to figure out ways in which related points can be use in other reasoning avenues thus giving an impression of value, utility and importance to the content. 

     -- Use of Transition words in a conclusion:

        Starting with a concise and smooth transition can be a pointer to the reader in   understanding that the essay is coming to an end. Particular attention needs to be paid to the last few sentences. The transition should be simple. The commonly used transition words like 'to conclude’, ‘to sum up', ' to recap’, maybe avoided and substituted by other suitable words emphasizing the views of the writer because the above-mentioned words are used very often. As an alternative, seldom used words such as "in brief", "in essence", "in short", can be judiciously administered. 

         --The main treatise of the conclusion:

        The main treatise or idea or theme should be worked into the conclusion of the essay. The essay must discover and input ways to convey the main idea or theme in such a way to enrapture and hold the attention of the reader.

       --Commanding the theme:

It certainly pays to be in command of the main idea, supported by reliable proof and trusting in personal creative ability so as to convincingly bind the reader's attention. Conveying the lack of confidence on the part of the writer by using certain words such as," it may be", "I may think it to be", etc., indicates that the writer is on a weak footing. This adds to the confusion in the mind of the reader and prevents him from developing a clear picture. Care should be taken not to be apologetic by belittling yourself in the sense of using words pointing to lack of confidence and insecurity in the views expressed. Whatever is put across should show the writer's belief in the correctness of his ideas.

     --Flamboyance in ending:

Such style in writing on the part of the writer reflects in the confidence and correctness of his beliefs and ideas of the writer in the content of the essay. The sentences towards the end should be thought provoking, kindling creative ideas in alignment with the main theme, enabling presentation of these ideas if necessary, in a more simple and colloquial manner to a less enlightened audience, thus receiving due respect and recognition of the ability to explain matters.

Successful writers are adept at striking the real chord of emotion imbibing in them the spirit of the article. The writer must attempt to awaken the reader and infuse in him an inclination to take action in line with the principles stated in the essay.

    --Taking precautions to circumvent pitfalls in ending:

     The content must awaken the sense of eagerness to examine the conclusion and glean inspiration without suggesting or leading the mind to new ideas.

The urge to incorporate quotable quotes suggesting meaningful or similar applications of the main theme of the article is one of the common mistakes made, with the expectations that quotes and words in tune with the main theme adds to the inspiration.

   --Avoiding the usage of complicated words 

Care must be taken in not using words that are not easily comprehended, even though the essay might look like a master piece of flowery language and advanced literature, because the impact of such language can have drastic effects on the perceptions of the reader, as more than often such styles of writing tend to making the reading difficult.

  --Igniting the sense of the reader to compare

Leading the reader to think on the contents and prodding him to act and think constructively can be achieved if the essay is written, based on the writer examining the flow of thoughts with a critical mind set. Such a pattern will ensure a sense of curiosity in the reader firing up his interests, resulting in compulsive reading.

Often writers make the mistake of meandering and explaining or focusing on minor details a lot more than required with the effect that the mind of the reader tends to be diverted to a different track altogether.
