Assignment: This assessment is the dissertation, which accounts for 100% of the total grade and is based entirely on secondary research. However, please note that your dissertation will not be marked unless you submit 3 staged versions of your dissertation at predefined intervals in weeks 7, 9, 12, 13 and sit a 30 minutes long exam in week 14 as well as the final submission of the complete dissertation in week 15.

Your dissertation should be a deep consideration of a specific topic, drawing on a wide range of academic sources, including peer-reviewed material using practical examples and cases to illustrate your points.  You will be offered a selection of topics or you may select your own, subject to approval by your tutor. Referencing is crucially important in this document and you are expected to follow the Harvard referencing format precisely. A suggested structure for your dissertation may be found in the detailed assessment specification which will be provided as part of the unit materials. Your work must be submitted as a professional Business Report of 6,000 words +/- 10%.  All written and staged submissions for this unit will be screened via a plagiarism checking software.

Staged submissions are required through the online journal on the BREO site. Your dissertation will not be marked unless you have submitted all 4 staged submission on time and have sat the final exam in week 14.

Staged submission 2: Chapter 2: literature review, 2,500 words (week 7)

Staged submission 3: Chapter 3: Method of analysis, 1,000 words (week 8)

Staged submission 4: 

Chapter 4: Discussion, Recommendation and conclusion, 1,000 words (week 10)

Full uploading of all data used in a single file for review, (week 11)          

Staged submission 5: Written check-point – Exam (week 12): 

For the submission to be considered, students need to undertake a written exam in week 14. This assessment will be conducted under exam conditions and will last 30 minutes. The student will need to produce a satisfactory response as a prerequisite for dissertation marking. A student who does not attend or cannot produce a satisfactory piece of work for staged submissions, will be required to attend a viva.
