DISCUSSION ON THE EVIDENCE OF THE CBT IN THE TREATMENT OF GENERALISED ANXIETY DISORDER
This study focuses on the nursing process by using CBT approach of treatment to cure a patient who is suffering from generalised anxiety disorder. In this study, different types of psychotherapeutic techniques and approaches are to be discussed to demonstrate skills. In connection to that psychotherapy framework can be provided to clarify the process of nursing to the patient. Apart from that a range of contemporary issues regarding psychotherapies and techniques are also to be analysed in the discussion,
In terms of analysing the Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), it can be stated that it is a common and distressing condition of the patient who is facing problem relating to the psychological problem. It can be stated that Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) can be considered as the approach which can be used to keep control over the Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD). Main features of Generalised anxiety disorder can be specified as pathological anxiety, fears, phobias and nervous condition which can be raised by the problem of daily life. It can be added that anxiety disorder can be occurred by chronic and exaggerated worrying for different types of causes and psychological pressure (Watkins, 2013).
In order to mitigate relevant problems, it is required to apply a proper application of care of nursing than the application of medicines. In order to take control over the situation, it is needed to apply a relevant framework which can be considered to recover this kind of problem.

Above mentioned framework can be addressed as the approach of Cognitive behavioural therapy which can be used for the betterment of the patient. In relation to that behaviour, feelings and thought can be considered as the main systematic process which can be applied for the patient who are suffering from Generalised anxiety disorder.
In order to cover up the problem of the patient, it is required to focus on the feelings and thought process of the nursing service provider entity. It can be added that the nurse required allowing the patient to inform about the problem which patient can face. In relation to that, it is required to apply feelings for the patient which provides the patient satisfaction (Cigno & Bourn, 2017). On the other hand, psychological treatment is required to follow to derive the internal complexation of the patient.
Different types of psychotherapy approaches can be introduced to develop the condition of the patient such as using psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural and humanistic approaches. Psychodynamic approach can be specified as the theory which can be developed by assessing patient thought and experience (Watkins, 2013). Using this it can be possible to create the nursing process which can extend the quality of the nursing procedure. Cognitive-behavioural theory specifies the approach of cognitive and behavioural techniques to change negative thoughts and maladaptive behaviour and focusing on the matter of improving the mental power of the patient. Apart from that humanistic theory can also be utilised to reduce the psychological problems of the patient.

In order to develop the nursing approach with the relevance of the Generalised anxiety disorder, it is required to assess the type of the disease. It can be added that the rate of the affected person can be specified as 7% for the woman where was this rate reduced to 4% for the man. In order to mitigate this relevant issue, it is required to utilise CBT packages and third wave CBT and applied relaxation. It can be stated that the process of CBT is required to follow up for the nine months. It is required to know about the actual problem of the patient to specify the anxiety symptom. It is necessary to monitor the mental stability of the patient and needs to provide mental support so that it can be possible for the patient to recover such trauma (Hewlett et al. 2015). It is required to keep the patient happy which controls the patient's excitation. Apart from that, the visitors are required to maintain these kinds of rules to look at the matter of not to make the patient irritate. It is necessary to know the process to tend excitation of the patient. If possible, it is required to keep the method of providing electric shock as back up.
Anxiety disorder and GAD
Anxiety disorders are group of many different conditions which are raised basically in form of fear of certain event and mental illness. Anxiety keeps a person very distress and can hamper the normal life of a person. The symptoms of feeling unstable, losing control very quickly, fear of uncertainty impacting a person’s daily life. It is the very common mental disorder nowadays. In America and Australia the anxiety disorder problem is the first and second most common disorder respectively (Neenan,2018).
Sign and symptoms - Panic unnecessarily, sleeping disorder, not able to stay calm and still, breathing problem, suffocation, dizziness, heart palpitation, sweats and coldness etc.
Generalized anxiety disorder, commonly known as GAD manifests itself through continuous generalised biases which create uncontrollable worry about common occurrences and situations. For example a person has a stable financial condition in his life, however he can’t stop worrying every once in awhile. Due to this unrealistic worry the life of a normal person can be affected badly.
Sign and symptoms - Difficulties in concentration, muscles tension, sweaty palms, irritability, repeatedly headaches and stomachaches, neurological problems such as numbness and tingling in different body parts etc.
Different types of Anxiety Disorder
In accordance to National Institute of Mental Health there are generally five types of anxiety disorders. Generalized anxiety disorder is an anxiety problem which includes chronic anxiety, excessive worrying.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder commonly known as OCD is an anxiety disorder which includes unwanted obsessions, compulsiveness, repetition of thoughts etc.
Panic Disorder is an anxiety which includes intensity of fear to accomplish a task which impact in a human physic in form of chest pain, abdominal stress, heart palpitation etc.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is an anxiety disorder which occurs after completing a work.
Social Phobia is an anxiety disorder which includes extreme self consciousness in every social gathering. Speaking in office presentation or social friend circle are the symptoms of social disorder.
Treatment and arrangement of anxiety disorder
Anxiety disorder is a most commonly known psychiatric disorder in these days. It can cause unnecessary burden of illness in normal human life. It is basically undertreated in primary care. For those who have faced the disorder problems they are highly recommended for psychological therapy, pharmacotherapy or both of this therapy (Cigno & Bourn, 2017). Other treatment option is counseling. Conducting counseling and then examine the person who have these disorders are very effective and fruitful. Monitoring the patients are very important in order to examine the behavioral changes.
Impact of the anxiety disorder on the patient
An anxiety disorder can affect not only the person who has gone through it but also one’s friends and family in a number of ways. The experiences which a person faces during the anxiety disorders are irritability, lack of concentration, sleeping problem, heart palpitation, tensions, headaches, abdominal problem etc (Powell, 2017). They are not easily socialized or meeting with new people which may cause their professional growth. They always suffer from both mental and physical hazards.
First Line treatment
The first line treatment for anxiety disorder are standards set of treatment which includes surgery followed by chemotherapy and radiation. It is the primary treatment which is applied by psychologists. If it cannot cure the problem or cause some side effects then there are several treatments are to be executed. It is also known as induction therapy.
Second line treatment
In terms of making development of the patient’s psychology, it is required to focus on the proper rehabilitation procedure by operating the process of face to face interaction. Through this procedure, it can be possible to develop the condition of the patient.
Assessment of new information
The advisory committee of the nursing team is required to focus on the proper relevant diagnosis of the patient to increase the health condition. Apart from that based on the diagnosis, it can be possible to assess the mental as well as physical condition of the patient. In addition to that, it can be possible to proceed with the medical treatment process according to the health. Initially, it is required to keep the focus on the matter of reducing pressure on the psychological aspect of the patient. After a certain period, it can be possible to create related atmosphere through which the patient can get the chance to justify patient’s upgradation (Neenan, 2018). This approach can positively affect the systematic approach of the patients to lead them towards a meaningful life.
In order o reduce mental stress of the patient; it is required to follow the rehabilitation process using effective CBP approach. It is necessary to focus on the matter of providing foods to the patient properly time to time and assess the sleeping time as per requirement which can reduce mental stress.
On the other hand, different types of cultural and psychological aspects are required to use to make the patient stress free. In relation to that practice of recitation, singing can provide mental satisfaction to the patient. It can also be added that the practice of stress-free chat with the patient, it can be possible to keep the patient normal.
In this study possible threat of the Generalised anxiety disorder has been analysed with the relevance of the application of CBT approach. In relation to that, the application of the psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural and humanistic approaches has been examined to determine the health up gradation procedure of the patient. This study also specifies the approach of the effective application of cognitive behavioural treatment to make cure patient from the psychological threats.
