The role of the mangers as the intentional change agent is important because the success or the failure of an organization is dependent on this. Moreover it can be further stated that the company can also. In analyzing the scenario of the Mafraq hospital the same has been true. In the essay the issues of strategic management in health organizations have been discussed. Moreover it can be further stated that there is certain difference between strategic planning and management practices and one pave the way for the other.  In this project the identification of the different stake holders of health sector have been made and the roles have been described and how they are affected or affects an organization have been  illustrated.  Linkages between the missions, vision, values to strategic implementation have been portrayed here. Description of training and development in team learning has also been provided here.


1. Description on the role of the manager as an intentional change agent

In the present context it can be stated that a company or a business under go unrelenting changes. Moreover, it can be stated here that it is important that the organization is able to adjust to these changes. It is essential that there are people who are able to turn strategies into reality and into practice. 


It can be stated here that the role of mangers are important and it is because these are the people who are required to implement and articulate the changes among the employees and the different stakeholders of the company.  


This will enable people to work effectively as the plan has been made and the role of the managers will be to effectively supervise the process. This will help in increasing the performance of the system as the changes are made in order to increase the efficiency. 


Here it can be stated that the role of the managers as the intentional change agent because this will help increasing the institutional efficiency and the effectiveness of the system. 


Role of the managers for the company in-order to implement the intentional changes will be to diagnose the problem.  This will help in identifying and analyzing performance issues and analyze their impact on short and long-term business result.  


The role of the mangers in order to implement intentional changes will be to build relationship with clients, mange risks that have been evident and existent in the system and in implementing the change management (Hayes, 2014).


2. Strategic problems and challenges facing health services organizations

The strategic problems that have been evident in the health service organization are in terms of organizational management.  Addressing the diversity and providing the patients and the service users the individualistic care that they require. Moreover, it can be stated that the strategic problem that an organization may face in terms of implementing a organizational management techniques and the organizational culture that they need to adopt, this is because the organizational structure and the culture should be able to withstand the diversity in the system. 


The strategic problem also lay in incorporating safety at the workplace for the employees of the organization, this is because the employees are exposed to various risk at all the time. In this regard it needs to be stated that the changes should be made in order to improve their conditions of work this have been evident while studying Mafraq hospital. Here the other major challenge that a health organization faces is in terms of providing safety for the patients and their family members within the premises of the health service organization (Dixon-Woods, 2011).  


The problems also lie in formulating and providing standardized procedures in treating the patients, which will help in increasing the service and treatment quality. These strategies are difficult to formulate as the conditions of the patients vary from case to case and the problems associated with them are different. Moreover it can be stated here that the organizations also face problems of coordination and communication between the different departments of a health organization and the pattern of work that individual department are expected to follow. Here it becomes evident that there are hindrances in the system.


The organization also face problems of strategic planning in determining the prices of the services as the affordability of the services is different for patients from different classes. 


The major problem for a health service organization in strategic planning is because a holistic policy cannot be implemented for the entire organization. (Freeman, 2010)


 3. Description on the differences between management practice and strategic planning techniques 

The major difference between strategic planning practice and management practices is that the management practices are related to the management of the organization and the practices adopted to manage the organization thereof.Whereas the strategic planning refers to the policies made to ensure smooth and efficient running of the organizations. The policies and the strategies made in the strategic planning section are implemented in the entire organization through management practices.Moreover it can be stated here that strategic planning techniques which involves bench marking, budget planning, analyzing the business  on the basis of business cases and adopting policies thereof, choosing the business models in accordance to the environment and  formulating a business on that basis.  

Capability analysis is an important part of the strategic planning techniques. Strategic planning techniques also involve formulating estimates based on the financial analyzing and providing a forecast on the future condition based on the analysis of the data.  In this regard, it can be further stated that it enables in appropriate adoption of the management of practices. This enables in adoption of appropriate management practices based on the evidence from strategic planning endeavors and the techniques followed thereof.  The management practices refers to the working methods and the innovations that the mangers uses to improve the condition prevalent in the organization. In this regard it can be stated that the management practices are generally followed in accordance to the strategic planning in terms of empowering the staff, training the staff, introducing schemes for improving quality (Augier, 2009) 


 4. Identification and description on the major stakeholders in health service organizations

Under research, it has been evident that there are direct and indirect stakeholders of an organization. The direct stakeholders of a health service organization are suppliers, patients, the care staff and the shareholders of the organization. The indirect stakeholders of the organization are the government, the competitive organization and the special interest group. In this regard their also concept of the key stakeholders and the secondary stakeholder, the key stake holders are people who can devise, pass and enforce laws and regulations and the secondary stake holders  are those directly involved and  responsible for beneficiaries or targets of the effort. 


Here it can be sated that the activity of the organization directly affects the patients, the employees as well. In this regard it can be further stated that the activity of the organization is also dependent on the rules and regulations formulated by the government and the regulatory authorities. Moreover it can be further stated that the government being a indirect stakeholder play a significant and critical role on the basis of which the organization performs. The role of the employees and the care workers are to provide the patients with adequate help and care in order to better the condition of the people. The patients are also stakeholders of the organizations because the effort of the organization have a direct impact on them and also in their health (Freeman, 2010).  The suppliers are also important stakeholders of the organization because the organizational performance is dependent of the supplies procured from them. Any flaw in this context has the potential to deteriorate the condition. The care providers are the most vital stakeholders of the process, because of their effort have a direct impact on the health as have been evident from Mafraq hospital (Hayes, 2014).       


5. Description of the linkage of mission, vision, and values to strategic direction 

The strategic direction adopted by any organization has to be based on the values depicted by the organization, the mission and the vision statement set by the organization. Moreover, it can be stated here that this is even more important for a health service organization, because health issues of people are involved with it. 


Here in this regard a mission statement is a brief statement of the fundamental purpose. The statement answers the question why does the firm exist. Based on this purpose of the organization the vision or the goal for the company is set and the organization wishes to achieve in the future. Here it can be further stead that the value encompasses the mission and the vision statement of the organization.


In this regard, the most important part is the value for a health service organization, which helps in developing the mission and vision statement. The incorporation of the mission vision and the value of the organization in the management practices provide a strategic direction to the organization that it wants to proceed (Swayne, 2012).  


6. Describing how to develop or enhance skills in team learning and performance

In terms of developing and enhancing skill, training plays an important role in team learning and team performance.  In this regard it has been further evident from the research conducted that the it is essential that the teams are selected and formed considering the kill set of them members and the attributes that they have. In this regard, it can be further stated here that selecting team members within the organization with conflicting attributes and skill deteriorates the performances and the learning scope for the workers within the organization. In order to formulate an effective team within the system, it needs to be ensured that the choosing people with similar skill sets and attributes are essential so that they can fit within the schedule and holistic training can be provided to them otherwise provision of training becomes a difficult task for the organization. This hampers performances and deteriorates the quality of the services, so it is important organizations choose people with similar skill set while forming a team. In this regard, it has also been evident that it is important that cultural difference can be accommodated within the teams which will yield better performance which is the desired outcome from the organizational perspective (Ackermann, 2011). 


Conclusion

In concluding the project it can be stated here that there organizational changes are evident to occur. In the health sector it is even more pertinent as a lot of research and development are made in order to facilitate patients in an efficient way.  it has been evident that apart from the role of the managers team learning and development is also important moreover it can be further stated here that this helps in increasing the efficiency of the firm.
