Assessment Type: Written individual assignment
Purpose: To develop static Web pages using appropriate technology. Students are required to develop a simple website using XHTML and CSS. Students must provide the functionality specified, produce the layout specified and use the data and images provided on the course website. The designed website must have a consistent look and feel. A CSS style sheet will help you achieve this.
Topic: Create a static website
Task details: Create an online store with some specialty products following below guidelines: It must be created using Visual Studio
All Pages: o Must have a Menu at top using CSS to link to all other pages, o A footer section
Main Page: o Should include some introductory information
About Us: o Must explain the purpose of the website and the explanation of the layout
Products: o At least 3 categories, with 5 products in each category using tables for layout o A side bar on the left to show categories
Contact o Use some Text inputs and labels. map image, the submit button should take to a thank you page

The website should use HTML and CSS and only few ASP controls for the Contact Us page:
Layout Must use: o Tables, Images/graphics, Menu (using CSS), several fonts, different headings, Colors etc o Make sure to use proper Spelling and Grammar.
Submission requirements details: All files must be uploaded on Moodie as a zipped File. You must demonstrate during Week 6 lab OR submit a word document with explanations and screen shots. You should be able to explain both the design and code for the site.
