On the other hand, setting a team goal is highly effective in improving group performance that secure
3) a) Use of KPI in measuring goal-related performance:
A key performance indicator is the measurements or the quantifiable metrics that are related to the specific attributes of success, which reflects the performance. Therefore, with the help of KPI, it is possible to measure the achievement of goals (Todorović et al. 2015). For securing KPI to have the maximum value, KPI must be quantifiable, clearly defined and very easier to measure (Buh, Kovačič & Indihar Štemberger, 2015). For measuring the goal, KPI needs to be connected with the goal of business so that it can be measured to identify performance related to the goal. The KPI of this goal is better productivity, good profitability and a better sales volume.
b) Maintaining performance under contingencies and varying conditions:
For maintaining performance under different circumstance, Australian hardware needs to be more responded and adaptable to perform the change. For achieving this, Australian hardware should assess the skills among different personnel against the standard of competencies so that it can be essential in determining development plan and need. To apply the change, seeking employee’s feedback is relevant (Anand & Grover, 2015). For the change, development of the organisational competencies is significant by identifying, using and selecting the opportunities of development (Valmohammadi & Ahmadi, 2015). Achieving new skill is always essential for gaining competitive advantage.
c) Minimise the effect of personal traits in the work plan:

Quick learning capability is helpful to learn a new skill which can quickly achieve a personal goal. Hard-working ability can secure the achievement of a particular goal more efficiently. As I am adjustable in varying environment, therefore, it can helps me in gaining practical skills for achieving my goal (personal). However, nervousness can create difficulties in concentration that destroy the efficiencies in securing own goal. Application of own decision can develop issues in forming a teamwork that forms problems in achieving the team goal.
4) A range of activities in advancing the work goals:
For advancing the first two work-related goal (personal), more practice is essential. Additionally, conducts some course to improve own efficiencies are also important. Receiving training from the organisation and applying proper time management strategy is necessary for achieving the goals. Therefore two different work goals are to conduct practice and to learn a range of knowledge by doing various courses. For prioritising the activity, the best possible strategy has been selected to secure the achievement of goals. In order to achieve the goal, the goal will be clearly defined. After that, different activities to achieve the goal will be identified, and then time will be allocated to achieve the goal. After that, the activities associated with a goal will be performed for goal achievement.
5) Two work plans for making the two goals:
For attaining the work goal, I have taken different initiatives. For applying those initiatives, a better time management strategy has been used by me so that all the necessary tasks completed within the decided time. I have managed the work priorities with the help of proper time management. In order to achieve the work goal, I have first developed a clear focus. After that, I have developed a task list, which is dynamic. For attaining the work goal, I have segmented the goal into different parts and then focus on the activities that have a higher value. I have allocated more time for activities that have a higher value. Less time has been allocated to activities with lesser value. I have limited my capacity to perform multi-tasking and minimised interruptions in achieving my goal.
6) a) Positive role model through organisation and work planning:
As a store manager, I need to establish a positive role model image in front of employees for securing their effective performance. At first, I brainstorm every required task and then identify the specific task which I must perform. After that, I perform prioritisation on the tasks that are more important to play it first. I involve myself in setting a timetable that is more realistic so that every job can be performed well. I remove some potential distractions which are not crucial in performing my job. As an example of my work planning, I can say that for resolving workplace conflicts, I first develop a training strategy for the employees and offer them the training about diversification and discrimination. After that, I provide advice to my employees to resolve conflict among them and show the highest performance.
b) Ways to maintain work-life balance:
For reducing stress, I will always manage my time and complete my tasks within the allocated time so that it can create lesser stress on me. For maintaining the balance, I prioritise my tasks based on its value and then structure time. I take sufficient breaks to reduce stress and use my annual holidays so that I can spend time with family. At the end of the day, I perform a self-analysis to identify what’s gone wrong so that I can correct it. For conducting a meeting, I use technology because it is a time saver. The balance can be maintained by plotting personal time for self (Deery & Jago, 2015). I have achieved the balance by sticking to the work hours more effectively so that it can be utilised entirely.
