Every student within a group consisting of 3 – 5 members is required to participate in the preparation and delivery of a 10-15 minutes each group.

Written Report 20% marks
Group Pechu-Kucha presentation 10% marks


This assessment task consists of two parts:

Part A

Written Report - Word Limit 2000

You are required to form a group of 4-5 members. You must inform the names of your group members to your lecturer by Week 6.

Your assessment task will include the following:

  1. Choose a business organisation in Australia,
  2. Your report must include a discussion on the following:
  3. History and growth of the organisation
  4. Mission and strategy of the organisation
  5. Structure of the organisation
  6. Culture of the organisation.
  7. Management Issues- here you identify and discuss any issues with appropriateness/suitability of the organisations chosen strategy, structure and culture and their effect on organisational performance.
  8. Conclusion,
  9. Recommendations for the issues identified.

Your discussion must include reference from five (5) peer reviewed academic journals. Outline for this assessment will be provided in Week 4

Part B

Pechu Kucha Presentation Duration: 15 minutes per group.

The findings of the report must be presented as a group pechu-kucha presentation. Pechu-Kucha is a way of telling a story. The whole presentation is in the form of pictures on a slide. No text will be required on the slide. Pechu Kucha presentation style in which 3-5 slides by each group member will be presented.
