Assessment Task This assignment requires students to examine the Indigenous definitions of social and emotional wellbeing of Indigenous Australians as opposed to a Western definition of mental health. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples prefer the terminology ‘social and emotional wellbeing’, rather than ‘mental health’ due to its more positive and holistic connotations. From an Aboriginal perspective holistic health and social and emotional well- being complement each other.

For the purposes of this assignment you need to discuss the following:
