Assessment 3 Review and Evaluation of Improvement Methodologies

Assessment 3 is based on Case Studies 7 and 10 from the Oakland text book.  Copies of the Case Studies have been provided.

Each Case Study contains a different improvement methodology.  Read each Case Study thoroughly and complete the following tasks.

1. Write a separate review of each of the methodologies.  Each review should be between 700 and 1000  words fully supported by literature.  Each Section should have:
   1. Introduction
   2. Discussion of the methodology supported by references
2. You are the Quality Manager of a glass manufacturing company near Wollongong. You have been asked to evaluate the two methodologies to determine which methodology would provide the greater benefit to your organisation if it was adopted as the organisation’s improvement program?  Prepare a report evaluating the two methodologies and recommending the methodology that you think would be most beneficial.  Justify your answer and support it with literature.  Your answer should be between 800 and 1000 words long.  This Section should be comprised of:
   1. Introduction
   2. Evaluation of the two methodologies supported by references
   3. Conclusion
