The digital technology has created an inevitable and convulsive impact on the current education of the students. Apart from this, the digital technology has possessed a key role in influencing the education system for the students and therefore, a deep understanding of this role is going to be analysed in great detail in the following section. According to Johnston (2020, p.93), digital tools and information are also identified that have tremendously been utilised in the higher education system. Moreover, the identified essential tools have played a massive role in the development of the skills and capabilities of the students. This influence is considered as an effective weapon to shed light in making their studies excellent and also their future professionalism will also be simultaneously impacted. The discussion covers the critical discussion based on two major part that is the role of digital technology and its impact on students following a summary of the for future research.

2.1. Digital tools in education today

2.1.1. Digital tools

According to Sleeman et al (2019), Australian Higher education has experienced that group work or teamwork has preferably been used in higher education (p. 35)Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) is used to develop the measurements of digital literacy. Students take participation in a group assignment and positively influence each other in an education context through social interaction. Digital literacy indicators are an effective specific digital tool to integrate the students with respect to their education (Techataweewan & Prasertsin 2018, p. 217). Social media is another digital tool that is used in their higher education through which they can get their relevant information. They realise that group assignment and online learning from their lecturers unite them into one integration that provides them with an aegis in developing social interactions. Apart from this Digital Dexterity Framework is another tool that outlines the skills and capabilities of the students. This collaborative study has exceedingly benefitted and influenced the students in improving their transition experience through social interaction digitally. As per Yang & Kim (2015) Digital innovation and transformation has been affecting the skill set of the student because they have become very much dependent on the internet and the urge of learning and excavating more has some where diminished (p. 1925). The Thai students have been using the mixed method. 

2.1.2. Role of the digital tool in education

According to Selwyn (2016), digital technology has placed itself as an integral part of education in the universities (p.1006). Through the conduction of academic research, it has been ascertained that digital technologies have played a major role in enhancing the learning of the students in their education. Moreover, the students have become more engaged with the digital technologies that provide them with relevant and essential data for their subject materials. According to Techataweewan & Prasertsin (2018), such as digital devices and resources from digital technology have also developed a larger involvement from the students (p. 220). Therefore, digital technology has become ambivalent for university students that help them in widening their studies. The digital transformation has become an important feature for the students studying in the university. This enhancement has profoundly impacted the education system of the students that enhance their skills and capabilities in order to experience success with respect to their studies. Through the digital literacy indicators, the students develop the skill of obtaining, processing, evaluating and communicating the data in order to study with depth knowledge and critical analysis. The students have also advanced themselves in giving interviews through digital technologies. As a result, they have become more competent in order to find a job through which they may penetrate into professionalism in future. According to Greene et al., (2018), digital technologies comprises of several social media using the internet that provides the acquisition of knowledge and clear understanding of reasons and evidence for knowing about more objectives (p.141). Digital tools play a massive role in enhancing the intellectuality and knowledge of the students that make them more inquisitive and determined in focusing immensely in their higher education. As a result, the students or participants have become exceedingly engaged in planning, monitoring their subject materials that are related to their education. In addition to it, social media has also paved its path more convenience in balancing their enthusiasm and education simultaneously. In the view of Techataweewan & Prasertsin (2018) Digital transformation and internet have immensely created an unpredictable role in integrating the students to acquire such modified skills that act as an aegis to their field of education (p. 215). Students express their willingness in identifying such factors, indicators that help them in completing their courses of education through digital literacy. Through digital technology, the students show their creativity and evaluation in their analysis of chosen subjects in their education. In the view of Radovanović, Hogan & Lalić (2015) the communication and the information technology also have a good and very important effect on the academic system of the students (p. 1738). The advance technologies have been shaping the collaboration dynamics and information and communication, while they are contributing on the persistent digitally advanced skills.

From the depth analysis of the digital technology, it is transparent that it precisely influences on the higher education of students. Consequently, students or learners gain more knowledge regarding their education through the development of digital technology and literacy. In addition to it, the students become more intellectual and innovativeness is simultaneously enhanced through the utilisation of digital technology. The analysis also demonstrates that tools and relevant information that are relatively associated with digital technology have made the students more independent in conducting proper research. In addition to it, digital technology has also made the learners or the students more competent in order to achieve success in their future where they will enter into varied professionalism. In this respect, the students need to be more productive and innovative in improving their competency skills for enhancing their future career through the utilisation of the benefits of digital technologies.
