The purpose of the essay is to focus on the social determinant and the impact on the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes. The chosen leader is Linda Burney and the social determinant is the “Education”. As per the AUSSTATS, the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals in the age group of the 15-64 who have been attending the university or another tertiary institution have increased and doubled from 7,000 in 2006 to 15,400 by 2016, due to the leaders passing the Aboriginal educational policies (DeLacy, 2020).
As the Aboriginal people are not very highly educated and do not stand at par with the Australian normal education standards, there is a significant difference in the pay, getting equal work, and enjoying an equal social status (Cantley, et al, 2019). Due to the lack of education and fostering low values to learn, the Aboriginal people face a wide knowledge gap and they do not get a suitable job along with equal pay (KERR, 2019). The Aboriginal have to suffer from the wide difference in comparison from the non-Aboriginal people and further have to face low social status. It further causes a huge disparity between the two groups and the Aboriginal leading to a treatment of a second class citizen within the Australia (Macdonald, 2019). Due to the lack of education, Aboriginal also faces a significant problem in health-related problems (as smoking and alcohol are high in Aboriginal group and they have high instances of suffering chronic diseases) in comparison to the non-Aboriginal group, who has a better command in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Due to the lack of education among the Aboriginal people, it has further caused wide social disparities, low-high income groups, and facing high implications in future outcomes (Dune, 2020).
Linda Burney is an Australian MP, who has worked over the years for the welfare of the Aboriginal people. By background, she is the first Aboriginal woman who has also represented the federal House of Representatives and has worked extensively to bring welfare to the Aboriginal people through education. During her career, the leader was also appointed as a Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Training in 2005. Subsequently she was appointed as a Minister for Fair Trading, Minister for Youth (Fisher, 2019). As her career peace, not only she took accurate steps to improve the education system in the Aboriginal group, such as making mandatory for the schools not to discriminant among the groups, given equal education and have same treatment values for all the diverse group, has helped the improve the living standards. By undergoing a high education system, not Aboriginal groups have secured good jobs; have a better income, and also good prospects. Due to education, it has not only made the Aboriginal have a better lifestyle as they are now more aware of the opportunities and are more knowledgeable, then their old generation. Policies such as the inclusion of Indigenous content in classroom teaching has significantly helped in creating awareness and also increased the educational outcomes among the diverse students.

With respect and fostering the health practices, it can help the Aboriginal people to understand the treatment and care system. Every individual should be treated with dignity, command, and with the best efforts, for the overall wellbeing of the Aboriginal group.
The purpose to provide a proper care, either by treating the patient with utmost care can help to abide by culturally safe practices. The patient also has to be taken care of with adequate knowledge, skills, attitude,, and understanding of their background, while fostering the care and relationship (Gracey, 2019).
The patient should also be educated about how the treatment would begin and what can be the expected outcome. The patient background, past medical history, and all the relevant details should be considered to devise a proper plan, care treatment, and understanding the outcomes (Fisher, 2019). For example, if the Aboriginal patient is a regular smoker, the patient should be educated on how the smoking impacts, how one can avoid it, and how to adopt a better lifestyle, to reduce the impact which would further reduce the cardiovascular disease(Beetson, 2019).
To conclude, Indigenous students, benefit due to the enhanced academic effectiveness and as projected the future success and learning outcomes, in comparison to the other diverse and marginal groups, have helped in achieving better awareness, respect along with appreciation from the other group. by focusing on education, it would help to attain social equal status and improved quality.
