Application of interpretivism can help to delineate socio-cultural aspects and acceptability factors associated with a research topic (Weber, 2017). For this study, application of interpretivism can help to realize the success factors associated with the migrant workers in New Zealand’s hospitality industry by incorporating socio-cultural aspects. Moreover, for this study secondary sources have been considered as the primary source of data collection hence the application of interpretivism is reliable for this study.
3.2 Research approach
Since this study is based on, the consideration of secondary sources deductive research approach has been considered in this study. The nature of deductive research approach is to include different aspects associated with a previously proven hypothesis (Kaplan, 2017). Due to this reason, the application of deductive research approach has helped to relate different factors such as political, legal and economic factors of New Zealand with success of migrant workers in the hospitality industry of this country. The deductive approach helps to prove new aspects with the help of previously proven aspects due to this reason this approach is reliable for this study.
3.3 Research design
In this study, descriptive research design has been considered since this can help to demonstrate different opportunities associated with the success of migrant workers in the hospitality industry of New Zealand. Application of descriptive design also has helped to elaborate on the factors in an efficient manner by which different influential factors associated with the success factors can be realized more easily (Alvesson & Sköldberg, 2017). Application of descriptive design by helping in a demonstration of different factors associated with this study, in brief, has increased level of new possibilities associated with future works in this context.
3.4 Data collection method
Qualitative type secondary data collection method has been applied in this study. Qualitative study has been applied in this study for comparing aspects of this study with other studies in this ground (Kaplan, 2017). Application of qualitative data collection method has helped to elevate the reliability study by reducing the possibilities associated with data redundancy and incorporation of false data since data are collected from reliable sources.
During these study different ethical considerations associated with this research has been considered such as prevention of data redundancy, prevention of breaches related to the research code and the conduct procedures. All legal aspects for preventing data breaches have followed in this study by mentioning the name of the proper author and online source location for preventing breaches associated with research code and conduct. After the accomplishment of this research work, this study has revised concisely for preventing the occurrence of any error, which can be considered as an academic crime. In-text citation has provided accordingly in order to clarify the source location and reference list has been included in this study for further justification.
5. Data Analysis and Findings
According to the collected data for this research, it is observed that the New Zealand hospitality industry has offered an opportunity to the migrants whereby plenty of people are joining this sector. In order to engage more migrants with the industry, immigration policies incorporated in this country have improved with flexibility. Nevertheless, assessment of the collected data offers knowledge that New Zealand hospitality industry maintains dignity and employees are given their due respect inside the sector (newzealandnow.govt.nz, 2018). This effective strategy of the sector has developed the dedication of employees.
An intense review of the New Zealand hospitality framework has provided insights into the fact that lack of skill inside internal employees of New Zealand has influenced the hospitality authority to hire migrant people. Migrants are coming from different sections of the globe and as per the data; almost 108,000 people have engaged them with the hospitality sector of New Zealand. The research is conducted using secondary data collection method where qualitative data is prioritized. Apart from this, following research aims to evaluate the success factors of migrant workers inside New Zealand hospitality industry. Due to this reason, secondary qualitative data has assisted the researchers to reach their desired goals. The research has evaluated the factors that are solely responsible for the success of migrants in New Zealand hospitality industry. Additionally, impact on people due to migrants’ success inside New Zealand hospitality industry is addressed through this research.
Moreover, factors that have encouraged migrants in entitling them with hospitality industry are observed along with benefits and drawbacks of the engagement of migrants. However, through the data analysis part and findings of the research, it is evaluated that migrants are playing a key role in the successful orientation of the sector. The entrepreneurship from migrants has offered job opportunities to the youth of New Zealand. Thereby, the hospitality industry has displayed remarkable progress. Hence, the success of the industry has contributed hugely to the success of migrants in New Zealand hospitality. Likewise, New Zealand visa policies and immigration policies are playing a major role in the success of migrant workers inside the New Zealand hospitality industry.
7. Conclusion and Recommendations
From the above analysis, it can be concluded that migrants are provided with equal rights inside the hospitality industry of New Zealand. In this regard, along with country people, New Zealand has offered job opportunities to the migrants of nation. Similarly, to improve the degree of satisfaction for the migrant employees, due respect is offered to the workers and thereby work culture is improved inside the sector. Furthermore, immigration policies are simplified along with visa policies whereby migrants can grab the opportunities of the nation similar to country people of New Zealand. Hence, elimination of discrimination has been observed as another important factor for the success of migrants in hospitality industry.
On the other hand, migrants have opened new start-up businesses in New Zealand whereby a new window is opened for New Zealand youths and several job opportunities are created thereby. This responsible attitude towards the society of New Zealand needs to be considered as another major factor behind the success of migrant workers in New Zealand hospitality. However, as per the research observation, government policies for immigration have supported the process of migrants’ success inside New Zealand hospitality. Lack of skilled worker inside the nation has provided an opportunity to the migrants whereby plenty of migrants have tasted the success with hospitality industry in New Zealand.
In order to reduce the threats for migrants and to improve the job opportunities for these people, recommendations can be elicited as follows:
- Offering equal opportunity
In order to enhance the profitability of the industry, New Zealand hospitality has engaged more migrants by reducing scope for country people. Hence, it is mandatory to elevate the scope for country people whereby threat of outrage can be prevented.
- Effective monitoring of migrants
A large pool of migrant workers can be observed inside New Zealand hospitality industry. In order to elevate this engagement, immigration policy is simplified by New Zealand government. Hence, effective monitoring of migrants is required for restricting the threat of terrorism and governance of migrants is mandatory for this purpose.
