Introduction

For family welfare, planning it is essential to identify critical associated with the family and consideration of the application of well-known theoretical perspective to find out proper solutions of situations. This study delineates a critical approach by considering the case study of Kelly’s family and tries to apply different social theories for developing an effective recommendation for the welfare of this family. This study considers the aspects of attachment theory in order to realize the issues related to the family of Kelly in a reliable manner. Moreover, Piaget development stages also have been considered in this study in order to illustrate the psychological perspective children of this family. 

Attachment theory and its application in case study

Consideration of attachment theory can help to realize different factors which are associated with the emotional attachment as well as the physical attachment is necessary for enhancing the level of personal development of a child (Collins, Jordan & Coleman, 2013). Erikson theory and its application in the case study

Hence, from this point of view it can be stated that Liam and Amanda are unable to develop proper child centered guideline for their children (Trotter, 2013). This is restricting the scope for Brittany to personal feelings and this can be considered as the main source of the problems of Anxiety for Brittany (Fearon & Roisman, 2017). Cailtlin is facing challenge related to mental attachment due to conflict between Noah and Kelly (Parentingrc, 2019). Moreover, disorderly behavior of William can be considered as another major issue for Cailtlin (Willispalmer, 2019). This is increasing mental challenge for Cailtlin by increasing challenges related to mental supports for Cailtlin (Good Therapy, 2019). Due to this reason, Cailtlin is facing problems related to Autism. Similar issue can be seen for the twin children of Colby since it can increase the mental stress of Brett and Colby (Social Workers, 2019). Since Brett and Colby both works for hence issue can be seen in the child-centered care due to lack of available time for Brett as well as for Colby (Collins, Jordan & Coleman, 2013). Additionally the children are surrogated children, which can increase the conflicting issues between Brett and Colby, which in turn can increase the level of family conflict among them (Burford, 2017). 

Development of collaborative plan can be considered as another major considerations for elevating the effectiveness of child centered practice thus for lack of available time Brett and Colby can face this issue (Geldard & Foo, 2013). This can increase the barrier in front of collaborative planning related to care plan associated with their twin children in future (Trotter, 2013). Moreover, previously Brett was involved with gambling which is another issue since in future Brett can be addicted with gambling again, which can make negative impact on the cognitive growth of twin children (Van Veelenet al. 2018). 

Personal values in the ground of the case study

Kelly’s family has diverse relational issues which can be considered as one of the major reasons for the problems which are facing by the young candidates and children of this family (Grosset al. 2017). From the humanitarian point of view, Noah’s behavior with his children and wife are not acceptable (Winteret al. 2017). Moreover, from the cultural background Cailtlin is facing the issues related to cultural diversity with William (Fearon & Roisman, 2017). This can be considered as another major issue associated with the mental growth of Cailtlin (Knight, 2017). From the background of humanity, it can be stated that Amanda and Emma needs to behave politely with Alexander for developing mental health of Alexander (Kerpelman & Pittman, 2018). 

According to the NASW, code of ethics parents needs to value their relationship, which can be considered as one of the primary ethical factors associated with social working (Dunkel & Harbke, 2017). From the perspective of Amanda’s family conflicting issues in the family member are very common and one of the major issue behind this is financial instability (Crocettiet al. 2017). Furthermore, the members of Kelly’s family do not provide deserved priority to their family members and this can be considered as another major issue in this regards (Haine-Schlagel& Walsh, 2015). 

From the perspective of Emma, it can be stated that as a mother she is not providing necessary mental support to her son Alexander and this can be considered as another major issue from the ground of basic values (Mauroet al. 2017). Showing dignity is another major consideration of personal values according to NASW (National Association of Social Workers) values and ethics related to social workers (Healthy Families, 2019). From personal aspect, it can be stated that family members need to show dignity for each other to elevate the level of effectiveness of personal relationship (Social Workers, 2019). Kelly, Amanda and Emma all have issue related to showing dignity to their family members as evidence their background and current marital status can be exemplified (Parentingrc, 2019). Kelly is living with her partner William and Cailtlin is unable to accept this (Good Therapy, 2019). Integrity in the relationship can be considered as another crucial factor a lack of which can be seen in the Amanda’s family and evidence of this can be considered as behavioral issue of the Alexander for which he is transferring from one school to another (Social Workers, 2019). 

Conclusion

Proper theoretical perspective is needed for welfare of family moreover consideration of primary values and ethics also plays a crucial factor here. From the ground of attachment theory, it can be stated that family members need to be emotionally attached with each other. However, in Kelly’s family this issue related to emotional attachment, which is affecting the mental condition of Cailtlin. A negative impact of this can be seen on the reading and writing of Cailtlin. Due to thi8s family issue of Kelly, Cailtlin is facing problems of Autism. Moreover, it can be concluded from the study that, according to Erikson development stages Alexander is facing the issues related to identity vs. role. An impact of this can be shown as Marijuana addiction of Alexander. In addition to this, it can also be concluded that Brittany is facing issues related to anxiety, which can be considered as the aftermath of increasing family conflict of Brittany.
