Answer :

I believe motivation creates a sense of enthusiasm within or through external sources in persisting with the action that we intend to complete and achieve our goals (Najjar & Fares, 2017, p.81) Maslow's Motivational Theory has provided me with the insight that different cultures have their way of satisfying psychological needs. Hofstede can be referred to in this context where he shows us how the cultural environment helps us develop different mindsets depending on the culture's collectivism or individualism (Kristjánsdóttir et al. 2017, p. 2). Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation has supported me in forming the belief that need, behaviour, and reward as feedback creates motivational factors for both the individual and collective group in the workplace.

As I compare the cultural differences that help create motivation for a group in the organization, I come across the cross-cultural policies and how different organizations tend to blend their workplace culture with the culture of the country and the guest's culture. Mc Gregor's Theory of X and Y have two different opinions where one group believes in shirking the responsibility. In contrast, the other group of people happily takes responsibility at the workplace. The individualistic culture tends to dominate the collectivist culture in an organization where the workplace is motivated by its people and their way of mindset reflected through the society. As I have witnessed in several places, the Eastern part of the world is motivated by Collectivist approaches. In contrast, the Western part of the world is more dependent on an individualistic approach in the workplace. The cultural aspects of a country still play a vital role in people's motivation in the organizations (Kerr and Heyns, 2018). The theories in amalgamation with intrinsic and extrinsic rewards will motivate the organization's people even in the domination of the cultural aspects.
